Webmaster Site Verification - 5th of June 2009

I've searched through Google once more hoping that maybe my webpage would be there, unfortunatelly no. It hasn't. Although I have not put any keywords in my website, or input a robot.txt file my website should at least still be found. So I did a little test. I actually searched my website on Google.

Thats right. According to Google, my webpage doesn't exist. But according to me, it does.

So perhaps I did a bad search. So I tried again, but this time with the Anglia URL, and well it found it on Google.

My next obvious step, would be to actually input my website to Google. So here is the first official step towards Search Engine Optimisation.

We, create a Google account and go to the Google Webmaster Tools (https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools)
We add the website to Google in the Dasbhoard.

We receive confirmation that the website has been added to our Google Webmaster Tools.

Google then asks us to confirm if indeed the website is ours by either uploading a .html file to it, or adding a meta tag to our index.php file, but I didn't really want to alter any meta tags in those files, so I decided to just upload a normal file that they request my server.
